The Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg celebrates its 130th year as an organization bringing classical music to our city, by artists both local and internationally renowned.
In 1974, Tomson Highway's WMC scholarship prize inspired him to earn a music degree in piano performance. 50 years later, having dedicated himself to the service of his people, compelled to record his wide-ranging experience of Indigenous life and to put his artistic training to use, Tomson is living an international career as playwright, novelist, pianist, and song writer.
Tomson Highway returns to the WMC "stage" to share his songs and stories as we celebrate 130 years as a Winnipeg arts organization. We promise you a fabulous time!
Saturday April 13, 11 am - 2 pm.
Tickets are $130 with a partial tax receipt, at www.wmcwpg.ca.
