Canzona 35! A Choral Celebration

Join us as we commemorate Canzona's remarkable 35-year journey of choral excellence in Manitoba. In this grand celebration, we'll blend the timeless brilliance of Baroque masters such as Bach and Handel with the contemporary artistry of Grammy-award-winning composer, Caroline Shaw, who presents a new composition for strings and orchestra.

For this special occasion, we are delighted to welcome our esteemed alumni to join forces with us, along with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and our Founding Artistic Director, Dr. Henry Engbrecht, for a grand finale chorus from Bach's Mass in B minor - "Dona nobis pacem."

Our rich and diverse repertoire will feature:

• Handel's "Zadok the Priest" and "Dixit Dominus"
• Bach's "Dona nobis pacem"
• Carolyn Shaw's evocative "To the Hands," a compelling response to Buxtehude's "Ad manus"
