A festive celebration, “Paskuhan: Christmas Around the World,” opens the 24/25 Season of the Musica Singers. This concert will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 7 pm in the newly opened, state-of-the-art Desautels Concert Hall at the University of Manitoba, located at 150 Dafoe Rd.
“Paskuhan” is Filipino for Christmastime. The repertoire features a mix of traditional and contemporary carols from various cultures, pop holiday classics, and a tribute to the rich Christmas traditions of the Philippines.
Under the music direction of conductors Oscar Pantaleon Jr. and Lorenz Edward Sarrondo, and featuring collaborating artists Crisanto Aquino, Lorenzo Camus, Paolo Camus, and Anica Warkentine, this concert will take the audience on a musical journey.
